week 2 and core or flex?

so, weigh in didn’t go all that great.  i only lost a total of 1.5 lbs…..but that is better than nothing right!?  also, i didn’t get in as much exercise as i would have liked last week.  i did drink lots more h20, diet soda and really tried to cut back on my serving size…lol…my eyes see a larger serving size than what it should.

over the weekend i bought a gazelle, which i have had one before and loved it, just never got to use it that much and ended up losing it to a roommate….so i am super stoked that i have it back(bought it at a yard sale for $10 by the way….how great is that!).  i have used it every night this week except one night.  therefore, if it is raining and i can’t go walking i can still get the exercise in!!

i tell you, the hardest thing has been cutting out the dove chocolate :(  i almost sneaked one in and my oldest stepson was like…no you told me to make you stick to your diet!  haha…it worked he made me stick!

this week i want to make myself drink even more water….i really had to force it on myself last week because i do have a weak bladder lol…but they say that once your body adjust to the increase in water then your bladder will calm down, i hope so!!!!

i haven’t started weight watchers yet….can anyone suggest whether to do core or flex??  i’m having a really hard time deciding which to do!!!

If you are anything like me(and it sounds like you are!) I would start out by trying FLEX-if knowing WHEN you are full is the problem, but if you absolutely HATE counting then Core would be better-I’ve tried both and as strange as it sounds Flex can be fun because it sort of is like a game seeing if you can balance everyday! Either way best of luck to you-you’ll do amazing!

I’ve done the flex plan - it’s great. You eat whatever you want and deduct from your daily points intake - your points total is based on your weight…the less you weigh the less you get
:( but it does work. You can eat your dove chocolate and still lose weight! and if you exercise, it can add a couple points to your daily intake, allowing you to splurge a little if you want or have that little extra helping of pasta. FYI - of you are familiar with Ebay, i’d buy your kit there. I got the 2008 kit on there for $70, complete with the points calculator, and weight watchers sells the same thing for almost $200!
Let me know if you need any help, i’m glad to share advice! good luck!

p.s. the flex doesn’t require you to buy special items of limit your foods. also, it helps out with ‘portion distortion’. I noticed if I use a smaller plate, it looks full, and i FEEL full from LESS food!

I thought I would do good on the Core, but my problem is overeating. So for me Core didn’t work since I was still taking in to many calories a day even if they were from the Core foods.
I do better on the Flex plan, I have more variaty of foods to eat and I know exactly how much of it I should have. I hate counting too but if I really want to lose weight, I will count.

PS….. You’re right on track! Losing 1.5 pounds a week is perfect. You should try and aim for 1-3 pounds a week. This is a healthy weight loss that assures it’s fat you’re losing not muscle or water….plus you have a better chance of keeping it off.

awesome! thank you all so much….a few of my friends around here had started ww a couple of months ago and one is doing flex and has lost like 50 lbs in 4 months! another girl is a big time “dieter” but is really struggling with the core plan ….and hey….i can have a piece of dove with flex….that won me over! haha.

I love the ww points plan. Except I only get 20 points because of my age :( Ah well, that’s the breaks. At least I can have my chocolate, and lose weight, too. ;)

I have been in weight watchers on and off for about 5 years now and i lost 30 pounds a few years ago doing the flex plan! i just restarted 2 days ago and decided flex works best for my lifestlye. with core, u need to go out and buy a lot of whole grain foods that a lot of us (well at least me) cant afford on my budget. So i stick with flex, and so far, its doin pretty good for me!
