a few slip ups :(

this week is not going so well so far, well its really not THAT bad, but i’ve done fairly well the past few weeks and now i feel like crap because i have slipped and ate a few sweets here and there.  i haven’t got to do any of my exercises so far this week because of different things going on around the house….back to school time for the boys and dentist appts, etc…..but tomorrow everything will get back on track and i will feel better. its not like i haven’t got ANY exercise in, we did do alot of stuff around the house including rearranging the living room and stuff like that. anyway….this week i will try my best to double up on h20 and exercise and no more sweets the rest of the week!!!!  i hate the guilt that comes along with it. 

week 2 and core or flex?

so, weigh in didn’t go all that great.  i only lost a total of 1.5 lbs…..but that is better than nothing right!?  also, i didn’t get in as much exercise as i would have liked last week.  i did drink lots more h20, diet soda and really tried to cut back on my serving size…lol…my eyes see a larger serving size than what it should.

over the weekend i bought a gazelle, which i have had one before and loved it, just never got to use it that much and ended up losing it to a roommate….so i am super stoked that i have it back(bought it at a yard sale for $10 by the way….how great is that!).  i have used it every night this week except one night.  therefore, if it is raining and i can’t go walking i can still get the exercise in!!

i tell you, the hardest thing has been cutting out the dove chocolate :(  i almost sneaked one in and my oldest stepson was like…no you told me to make you stick to your diet!  haha…it worked he made me stick!

this week i want to make myself drink even more water….i really had to force it on myself last week because i do have a weak bladder lol…but they say that once your body adjust to the increase in water then your bladder will calm down, i hope so!!!!

i haven’t started weight watchers yet….can anyone suggest whether to do core or flex??  i’m having a really hard time deciding which to do!!!

When to weigh, and kids eating habits

Ok, today went pretty good……I had to skip breakfast due to running late for work.  Other than that,  food-wise went well today….all healthy foods.  I did get a bit of low blood sugar, but had a spoon of peanut butter, which helped the situation.  Didn’t get to go walking tonite, but will get some exercise in. 

My question is….when is the best time to weigh?  I weighed yesterday morning, then this morning I weighed and it said I had gained a pound!  Is this normal?

 Also, just a random question…..my stepkids (well, really only one of them)  is a VERY picky eater….his diet mainly consists of chicken nuggets, mac n cheese, stuffing, pizza, and any cereal or junk food!  I am trying with all I have to help get him to try more foods but he just throws the biggest fit and absolutely refuses.  Does anyone else have this problem?  Does anyone know how to solve it? lol…help. 

new to buddy slim

I have been a member of another (sort of) similar website but have never been as serious as I am today. I found this website and have decided to restart everything with a clean sweep……fresh start.   I have to lose this weight.  When I look at myself I am completely disgusted!  I am so out of shape and my entire family needs to learn better eating habits.  My husband has a major sweet tooth, and so do my step kids and diabetes is coming at my husband and I both from all ends. 

I tried the Atkins diet a few years ago and its really not my thing.  I have thought about starting weight watchers but first I am just trying the-eat healthier, exercise, and drink lots of water thing……hopefully this will help give me, at least a jump start….ActuallyI think I am going to do the WW deal as well……I think this will help keep me on a strict guideline.  I will start the WW counting on Sunday….so I can use the rest of the week to learn a little more about ww.

I only had two 24 oz bottles of water yesterday, my goal for this week is to have three bottles a day.  I am starting my goals out small this week and will increase them gradually.  My goal for the first two weeks is to exercise at least three days a week, drink lots of h20 and healthier foods.

 I have decided to reward myself after each long-term goal met.  My long-term goals being pounds lost.  My main goal is to lose 50 lbs (of course I want to lose more, but this is my “long-term starting goal”.    SO…..here’s the deal…………

  • 10lbs lost—–new makeup
  • 20lbs lost—–pedicure
  • 30lbs lost—–a few new clothing items

 OK….so that’s all the rewards I wanna do for now, and hey….I may change it around a lil…who knows.  Well, I’m gonna go figure all this buddyslim stuff out since I am completely new to it………however it really is ALOT like myspace so I should catch on okay.
